Brandt Update

I heard from Brand's new human. His new name is Huxley, and he has acquired some new quirks. Here's what they wrote.

It took about 4 weeks for our resident cat to tolerate him and for Huxley to gain access to our bedroom without our resident cat hissing at him. They now both sleep on our bed with no issues! He also has never had any issues with peeing outside the litterbox and survived his first vet visit with no issues as well!

He is still a very vocal and energetic boy and will often meow and run around after breakfast and before bed. He is also unbelievably food motivated and I cannot leave ANYTHING out for him to open or tear into. He has eaten two of my burgers (about a 1/4 of the bun and patty) when I have left them on the counter for just a few minutes! I also have to feed both cats separately as he eats his own meals so quickly and will go after my other cat's food within a minute or two. He also seems a bit anxious (I decided not to keep him on the "meds") if left alone for too long and will start destroying paper and paper objects. He has had to be alone the last two weeks as my husband has been visiting family and I have been working longer holiday hours and I will come home to shredded tissue, paper bags and the latest was a catalogue I had on the table that he tore up. He doesn't do anything like that when someone is home so I can only guess it is an anxiety thing. He also seems obsessed with our toilet brush and I have found it in the living room after coming home from work! Other than that, he seems to be a happy boy! I love that he sleeps all night until my alarm at 7am as this is a first for me with any cats! He has a great internal clock that even adjusted to Daylight Saving Time!
