Today Wilson ate a treat I tossed into her hole while I was in the room. This is a nice tiny step forward as it shows that she is letting her guard down and feels safe enough to eat. At least while she is in her hole. Why do I toss the treats? See the video below for the answer.
Even though I know it's coming I still flinch. I seem to be able to control my responses better the second time. Autonomic sympathetic responses, gotta love them. There's always a second time as I can't let her think that her response will keep me away. She will get better and she will come out of her hole, take a treat from my hand and then let me touch her. One day...
