Well, both Mamas were pregnant so we had some unexpected babies and the boys came back. Nine lovely, friendly

little boys. Splish, Splash, Splooch, Splot, Pender, Stitches, Tooney, Ziggy and Otto.
Their personalities have started to emerge. Some are Ziggy is very outgoing. Otto and Splot are mellow and like to snuggle. Splash, Splot and Otto have been adopted. Their family came last night to pick them out. It was great to see the excitement of the family as they chose their first pets ever. We went over how to hold and they soon became proficient at interacting with their chosen critters. Each wanted a different style rat. One wanted a mellow cuddler, the other wanted inquisitive and the third wanted one that would not try to go down their shirt. If we can arrange it they will be going to their new home tonight. There is another adoption happening today, again they will pick out which ones they want as the boys aren't up on the Petfinder website yet. So of 9 boys only 4 more boys need to be adopted.
The other exciting adventure they will have today is that we are giving them their mite and flea treatment today. Each rattie gets a dose and then we wait 5 minutes for it to dry as we can't have them licking the spot. As rats are extremely flexible we can't just let them go in case they lick, which kind of misses the point.
