Sometimes as a foster parent you despair about a cat. It can take so long for any kind of progress, frustratingly long. Still you try, you hope, and cross your fingers, eyes, toes whatever you can cross. Then all at once, after months and months of little to no progress something flips a switch in their brains and their behavior changes. Wilson recently had one of these moments. She made leap from toleration of petting only with the promise of treats to not only actively requesting contact with me to actually preventing me from petting Dewdney. She is still intimidated by Tan so Tan can do whatever she wants and Wilson just stays out of the way. It only took ~300 days.
