Right now I have two lovely boys hanging with me. Salta and Pepper. Their Journey to my place is one of those that sometimes happens in the rescue world.
I had Rain and Storm at first. I had them for 3 days. Then we received an emergency call, 5 rats one of whom is pregnant needs to leave as the landlord gave their tenant a choice, the rats go or the tenant goes. So we took in all 5 the next day. As I am a quarantine house they were all going to come here. Rain and Storm were picked up to go to another home as their quarantine was over, and I was all set to have 3 cages of rats.
The story of the pregnant rat changed and it was discovered that she was even younger than we thought and it was her first pregnancy. This means that stress muse be kept to a minimum. So I ended up with Salta and Pepper so the people who were fostering them could take the new family. Definitely a game of musical rats. In the end this was a good thing as I need to be rat free by Dec 19th and the 13 babies were born late last week meaning there would be increased risk for the babies.

Salta has a bit of a cold but is great with taking his meds as I put them in a bit of scone. Salta loves the scones and so that Pepper doesn't get left out he gets a med free scone as well. They are two very friendly boys.
