Kittens are great. They are super cute, full of energy, and are so adorable they can pretty much get away with anything.
Please note I said pretty much.
What they cannot get away with is peeing on the bed, and more specifically peeing on the bed (and on me) at 4:15 am. We've had a few accidents in the last week or so, on the bed and chair. Sometimes it happens, especially with kittens. RaeRae is teething, growing more of those lovely sharp kitty teeth and chewing as much as she can. She'd eating lots which probably means a growth spurt is on the way. Her little body is going through a plethora of changes. It's not surprising. Annoying but not surprising.
So she's been banished to the bathroom where she has been using the litter box exclusively. This tells me that it's not a health issue. Maybe a litter box location? A too much excitement? Or just kitten enthusiasm? She will be in the bathroom for at least a week, to remind her about how fabulous a litter box can be. Then we hope that the many, many loads of laundry are at an end with a new location for the litter box.
