Meet Kanta

With the kitten adopted, Wallee doing so much better and the Walk for Alzheimer's (I help organize) over it was time to get a new cat. Kanta came to me from another foster home. Her former foster parent needed to take a break and she was not progressing from being nippy and food possessive.

Kanta was trapped a year ago and was heavy with milk, as they didn't trap the kittens she was released. They found her 3 kittens and were able to trap the family. The kittens were adopted but Kanta, with her mild aggression was not. She's been in the bathroom for a few days now and though generally she ignores me she did come out from under the sink for some treats and her breakfast. I was sitting on the edge of the tub and was not moving. The speed of this acceptance of my presence makes me happy as it's only been a few days. Soon I will initiate an interaction and see how she does. Apparently touching her is touch and go.
